I was offered a tablet, and received after two weeks, but when I try calling this number (021 001 7500)for activation, I get a voice prompt to select option 2 for activation but the phone rings for a while and I get dropped. So annoyed! Perhaps I will have to reverse future debit orders if I do not receive any joy and the reason I will give to my banker would be 'scam' because it is if you are given a number and when you dial it you cannot receive help from it.

We need to raise awareness to other people of such before they get into this scam. it's unfortunate that service providers work with these scammers. Liven replied 11/29/16, 10:33 AMI have receive the phone from them where i was upgrading my contract because it was expiring. unfortunately while communicating before taking the phone i was told that because is a upgrade im only going to pay R219 and i already have two contract with telkom and i'm paying R400, so month end i was expecting telkom to deduct R619. Month end telkom deducted R1350. i went to the bank and reverse it, so they block my account now. we have to do something even with telkom, cause they know who selldirect is and they are benefiting from.Roslyn replied 1/23/17, 10:20 AMI totally agree with you. Please escalate this to your call centre manager.
Please at least listen to the last 5 mins of this conversation. As a consumer, I field many calls like this a day and have the decency to give a marketer a fair chance to sell his product. By far and large the call centre industry is well trained and handle clients very well. This guy on the other hand is the opposite. I would suggest you either let him go or spend some time and money developing professionalism and people skills.
Just the highlights for your attention:
1. Continuously referring to me as ‘my brother’
2. Some people are not intelligent enough to understand the value he is selling (this coming from a person with no idea whether I am educated or not)
3. Saying I am wasting his time when he could be chasing up other clients (he called me!!)

A guy named Marlin, who claimed to be calling from telkom mobile has tried selling me a mifi router and a few cellular phones. After seeing the reviews here, I am not going to continue with the service, I will go straight to telkom. Thank you for the heads up.

Shamiela Mia marketer from Telkom aka selldirect is a fraudstar. Do not fall for her gimmicks. She offered me an allhours uncapped lte package inclusive of a Huawei 618 router, apparently 5G enabled. The agreement was supposedly recorded, which I am starting to doubt. 7 days later I received a totally different substandard package, through Courier IT. Now selldirect and Shamiela Mia is untraceable.

They call you and led you to believe that you qualify for an cell upgrade and the it is actually not an upgrade but a new contract. They work with Telkom. I already have a contract with telkom. They also don't answer their phones.

They almost caught me with a fantastic offer on mobile data. Then she started getting aggro because I could not "confirm my banking details". I realised that she in fact did not have my acc number and was most likely not fr0m Cell C at all. I put the phn down in her ear and immediately searched for the number she had phoned from. and here we are!! She has already tried to phn back twice. Bloody criminals.

Comment: I've got a contract for Samsung J1 Neovin July , the cell only worked for one month, then the next month the cell lost network then they blocked it , both simcard and cell, I tried to call several times with no luck , I was alwys told to wait until then ,and I was also forced to stop payment ,BT they never bother themselves with that until today bt they don't forget t debit every month

I received 13 calls from SellDirect today- If you are phoning again I will report you to the SAPS and lay charges for Harassment as I am struggling to walk and got a hearing impairment. This is ridiculous to be continuously phoned by one company in one day. Can your workers not understand that if one say no that they should stop phoning, I do not want any thing to do with your SellDirect as you have sent me a rooter which I could not use and it took me more than 6 months to get a credit for the item which was returned to you - I still got the correspondence between myself, Telkom Mobile and SellDirect. I received 13 phone calls today and I am a person hard of hearing and struggle to climb stairs and had to get to the telephone 13 times and that after I have told these people to take my number off their computer lists and I have also asked Telkom not to give my number to them, but they still phone me. They are responsible for raising my sugar levels as well as my blood pressure. -

Hi I also got a call from sell direct on the 11/2/2016 and sold me a tablet Huawei new in the market and promised to deliver in 10days. They then went ahead and debited R90 from my cheque account. I haven't received the tablet and I don't need that tablet anymore. These people are scammers and are using Telkoms name when scamming people otherwise I wouldn't have agreed to do business with them. I want them to return my money.
