The caller said that she was from Standard Bank and was offering me an increased credit limit. I decided to not continue once she started to ask for confirmation details. She did say that she could give me a reference number, but not too sure how that would work.

The caller also phone me and said that she is from ABSA bank and offering increased credit limit.
She confirmed my name, surname and ID number.
I then immediately phone ABSA fraud line to report and stop my card.
Please be vigilant.
I do suspect that staff inside of the bank are selling the clientele information.
